About the event
Bristol Bookfest’s annual, weekly Winter Seminar Series at the Rogers Free Library will explore "Mrs. Dalloway" and Virginia Woolf’s novel writing style. Led by Steven Calvert, each session will include historical and contextual background, analytical insights, a deep dig into the text, and a question and answer period. This event features “A Bloomsbury Salon” with artists (including Cynthia Elder) who will discuss elements of the novel.

Cynthia Elder is the author of the Tales of the Sea historical fiction series (The Journey Begins and The Drumbeats of War), based on hundreds of pages of unpublished letters, ship's logs and personal journals from her husband's seafaring family in the 1800s. Elder is also executive director of the Barrington Land Conservation Trust.
